Mayim Bialik was born in San Diego, California, on December 12, 1975.
She was raised in Los Angeles and attended public as well as religious schools. [Bialik attended North Hollywood High School, graduating in 1993.]
The actress enrolled at the University of California, even though she was accepted from both Harvard and YaleUniversities. She chose the University of California so that she could stay near her family and stay on the West Coast.
In 2000, she completed her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, Jewish, and Hebrew studies. In order to concentrate on acting, Mayim put her doctoral studies on hold in 2005. After graduation, she completed her Ph.D. course in neuroscience in 2007.
She entered into acting since the time she was a child. As a child, she played the role of young Batte Midler in the1988 released movie Beaches.
