American television meteorologist Dylan Marie Dreyer works for NBC News as the anchor of Today’s Third Hour. Dylan Dreyer contributes weather reports and fills in for Al Roker and Carson Daly during the workday. She also appears on NBC Nightly News and The Weather Channel.
Dylan Dreyer was born and raised in Manalapan Township, New Jersey, where she attended Manalapan High School, played softball, and graduated in 1999. In 2003, she graduated with a bachelor’s in meteorology from Rutgers University. Dylan Dreyer had a brief internship with WeatherWorks, a private consultancy firm in Hackettstown, New Jersey, while still in college.
Dylan Dreyer has had positions at WHDH in Boston, Massachusetts; WICU in Erie, Pennsylvania; WJAR in Providence, Rhode Island; and other places. On February 9, 2013, Dylan Dreyer was involved in a car accident while on her route to cover a blizzard for Today. She had a moderate concussion.

In addition to her work as a meteorologist, Dylan Dreyer hosts the NBC educational nature program Earth Odyssey with Dylan Dreyer, which is part of the network’s The More You Know lineup.
In 2012, Dylan Dreyer got married to producer and cameraman Brian Fichera of NBC News. Dylan Dreyer revealed she was expecting her first child on June 10, 2016, a son named Calvin. Her firstborn was born on December 17, 2016. Dylan Dreyer revealed on Today on July 17, 2019, that she would give birth to her second child in January 2020. She gave birth to her son, Russell James, her third child, on September 29, 2021. She will continue to appear on the Third Hour, but her last day on Weekend Today will be January 29, 2022. Doris Milke, Dylan Dreyer’s grandmother, set a record for winning The Price Is Right in 1963.
Along with her husband, Brian Fichera, and their three small children, Calvin, Oliver, and Dylan, Dreyer is currently enjoying the weather in Tuscany. Dylan Dreyer, who has been a part of NBC’s Weekend Today for almost ten years, made the decision to leave the program on Saturday in order to devote more time to her family.
The news anchor’s parents are Jim and Linda Dreyer. They did an excellent job raising her, even though they aren’t frequently referred to as husband and wife in the media. Although Jim had a job, he made a point of regularly being at home with the kids. Dylan Dreyer claimed that Linda was an independent woman who cherished international travel.
