Three days into the new decade, and there's already a Kardashian-Jenner scandal making the rounds on the internet. This time, youngest sibling Kylie Jenner is the target, with Twitter users accusing her of cultural appropriation and wanting to be black after she debuted a controversial hairstyle on social media.

On Friday, Kylie shared a picture of herself from an old photoshoot wearing her platinum blonde hair in twists (a protective style in the African American community that women can legally get fired for wearing), and the backlash began to roll in.

"She wants to be a black woman so bad," one user wrote on Twitter, while another critic called out the double standard that exists between white and black women, saying: "On a black woman they would call this style ghetto."

Kylie quickly deleted the post from her Instagram Stories, but the photographers who were responsible for the snap, as well as her makeup artist Ariel Tejada, kept the photo on their pages, revealing that Gwen Stefani was the inspiration behind the look.

This isn't the first time the KarJenner sisters have been slammed for appropriating black culture with their beauty choices. In August, Kendall wore her hair in cornrows, and, two years ago, Kim famously gave "zero f*cks" when it came to what people thought about her "Bo West" braids.

Most recently, however, Kim was dragged for her skin looking much darker than usual on the cover of 7Hollywood, which drew outrage from fans.

"The thing with Kim Kardashian and her family’s tireless history of cultural appropriation and blackfishing is that she knows better," a fan said about Kim and her sisters's repeat offensives. "They know better. But they continue to do this because they know outrage sells."

As for Kylie, she has yet to publicly comment on the backlash.
