How Did Ron Bunt Die? – In today’s worship service, we paid tribute to those who have served our country. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Veterans Tracy and Angie Bunting for their generous participation. Pastor Ron took the time to explain to the congregation the significance of each of the thirteen folds that are present in an American flag that is folded correctly. It is a symbol of life that the first fold of our flag is folded. The second fold reflects our belief in eternal life. The third fold is produced in honor and respect of the veteran who is leaving our ranks and who sacrificed a portion of his or her life for the defense of our country in order to achieve peace.

The fourth fold is a symbolic representation of our more vulnerable character as citizens who put our faith in God; we look to Him for the divine guidance that He provides. Since, in the words of Stephen Decatur, “Our country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right, but it is still our country, right or wrong,” the fifth fold is an acknowledgment of our nation, it is a manner of expressing gratitude to our nation. Where our hearts are located is the sixth fold of the fold. We make this pledge of allegiance with all of our hearts to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic that it represents, which is one nation under God, indivisible, and with liberty and justice for all.

In recognition of the fact that it is via our armed forces that we defend our nation and our flag against any and all adversaries, the seventh fold is an homage to our armed forces. The eighth fold is an homage to the one who went down the valley of the shadow of death so that we could see the light of day. More importantly, it is a memorial to our mother, for whom it flies on Mother’s Day. Given that the faith, love, loyalty, and dedication of women have been the foundation upon which the character of men and women who have contributed to the greatness of this nation has been built, the ninth fold is a tribute to the concept of femininity.

It is a compliment to the father that the tenth fold is done, because the father, too, has sacrificed his sons and daughters for the defense of our country ever since he or she was the first-born child. Those who are citizens of the Hebrew nation believe that the eleventh fold is a representation of the bottom section of the seal that King David and King Solomon wore, and that it is a way of glorifying the God who was the father of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. In the eyes of a Christian citizen, the 12th fold is a symbol of eternity and celebrates God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
