Born on May 13, 1976, in Shelbyville, she was the cherished daughter of Donald Wilson and Laura (Fuquay) Wilson.
Survived by her devoted mother and father, Brandy leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to her partner, Kevin, her two sons, Nicholas Girdler and Christopher Wechsler, and her brother, Jedediah Wilson, and sister-in-law Emily. She is also fondly remembered by her loyal companion, her dog Precious. Brandy was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Lynne Wilson-Wechsler.
A lifelong resident of Shelbyville, Brandy graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1996, marking the beginning of a life dedicated to service and compassion. For several years, she served as a certified nurses assistant with Seasons Hospice and provided home health care through Major Home Care. Brandy’s commitment to helping others reflected her compassionate nature and contributed to the well-being of those in need.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Brandy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her passion for crocheting, collecting snow globes, and creating lasting memories with family and friends defined her vibrant spirit. In every stitch and in the sparkle of each snow globe, Brandy’s zest for life shone brightly.
Friends and well-wishers are invited to pay their respects at the funeral services on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home, located at 437 Amos Road. Chaplin Charlie Sawyer will officiate the service, which begins at 12:00 noon. Prior to the service, friends may gather at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the ceremony.
